People make their way from the PNC Bank parking ramp to the Amway Grand Hotel by way of the Skywalk. Much of downtown Grand Rapids is connected by way of an above-ground, climate-controlled skywalk. The skywalk starts at the Van Andel Arena, goes through the Arena Station building, across Market Street, turning north through the Plaza Towers, continuing north through the Comerica Bank building, where it connects to the JW Marriott Hotel. Continuing north it goes through the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, then on through the DeVos Performance Hall. The skywalk ends at De Vos Place, the 160,000-square-foot convention center.
